Last year, a documentarian asked to cover Frolic’s Haunt. We agreed, and the footage the documentary team shot that night became a short documentary called “Frolic’s Haunt”. I am enormously pleased to announce that the documentary has been accepted to the Inside Out Film Festival! We’re part of the The Truth Is Out There shorts program, to be shown in Cinema 2 at the Bell TIFF Lightbox.
I am so excited that our message about accessibility is going to reach such a large audience, and it may go on to be shown at other film festivals as well; we’re already getting inquiries from film festivals on the other side of the world. I hope this makes the people who see it think about accessibility in a new way (or think about it for the first time), and I look forward to being able to share it with the haunter community once we get the rights to post it online. (That may be awhile, since first it has to finish the film festival circuit, and then the documentarians will be sending it to various broadcast outlets after that.)
If anyone is interested in coming out to the premiere, tickets can be bought at the link above, but please note that the premiere is limited to 18+. (I’m not sure why; I’d assume one of the other five shorts that’s also in our 90-minute block has some adult content.) The core team for Frolic’s Haunt and the documentary team will all be there, so if you come too, find us and say hello!
